The 2025 Palawan International Choral Festival, a landmark event in the Philippine choral calendar, will be held from August 13 to 16 in Puerto Princesa City. This prestigious gathering will feature a vibrant showcase of talent, bringing together top regional choirs and internationally renowned choral experts in a celebration of music, culture, and community.
Spearheaded by the National Association of Filipino Choirs, Inc., the festival proudly acknowledges the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) as its Platinum Sponsor, with generous support from the City Government of Puerto Princesa and the Provincial Government of Palawan. The festival also recognizes its Diamond Sponsors, including the Government Service Insurance System (GSIS), and Philippine Airlines (PAL). Together with its media partners led by the National Media of the Philippines (NMAP), these partners ensure a festival that promotes not only artistic excellence but also community empowerment and cultural tourism in the region.
Highlighting the festival is an esteemed international panel of jury and choral experts and speakers, led by National Artist for Music, Dr. Ramon P. Santos, who will deliver the festival’s keynote address. Joining him in this honor is Honorable Jude Acidre, Second Representative of the Tingog Partylist. The panel includes distinguished choral professionals from Europe, Asia, and the Americas, lending their global perspectives to the festival’s various workshops, adjudications, and discussions on choral artistry and pedagogy.
Among the most anticipated events is the Choir Competition, where top regional choirs from CARAGA, MIMAROPA, CALABARZON, BICOL, and the National Capital Region (NCR) will compete for top honors. These award-winning ensembles have undergone rigorous local screening and are now poised to present the best of Filipino choral performance on an international stage.
The 2025 Palawan International Choral Festival is not just a competition—it is a gathering of voices and visions. It celebrates harmony, excellence, and collaboration across borders, and affirms Palawan’s place as a cultural and musical destination of global significance.
