Palawan’s promising pop rock band “Bandang Polo” finally release their latest single “Punto” under Mabuhay music group, it was officially release online last May 17 in all digital music platforms and social media; Spotify, iTunes, Youtube, Tiktok, and etc.
Words & Music by Jeo Pintuan, Punto is basically a love song dedicated to someone’s past relationship. It’s the cry of a broken heart that hasn’t moved on yet. Breaking up or ending a romantic relationship is most of the time not fair. The one who has been left behind suffers homesickness and longing for the one that got away.
Bandang Polo: In the picturesque city of Puerto Princesa, Palawan, a truly inspiring story unfolded in March 2023. It all began when a group of high school students from San Jose National High School joined forces to create Bandang Polo, a band that would change lives and inspire hope.
Bandang Polo loved playing alternative rock, and they used their music to tell stories of resilience and hope. Their songs became anthems of positivity for their generation.
But they didn’t stop at making music; they believed in giving back. They organized charity events and concerts to help their community. Their journey shows us that with determination and kindness, we can all make a positive difference in the world through music and unity.
The name “Bandang Polo” was derived from a local band named “Kwelyo” who served as their inspiration in pursuing recording. “Hindi mabubuo ang isang polo kung walang kwelyo”, Angelo, their band leader said.
