Officials and members of the Grand Isla Kalayaan Eagles Club have noticed that when road accidents occur, those involved and witnesses prioritize live-streaming the incident rather than immediately calling for actual help from authorities.

This is why the group, along with the Grand Isla Kalayaan Lady Eagles Club, decided to put up road information signages in five towns in Southern Palawan. There are three signs each in the towns of Aborlan, Narra, Española, Brooke’s Point, Bataraza, and also in Brgy. Rio Tuba.

The signages display hotline numbers that can be contacted in case of a road accident, such as the PNP station, the MDRRMO Hotline for the area, and even the nearest hospital or clinic.

The group plans to install more signs in other municipalities to help during unexpected situations. The Grand Isla Kalayaan Eagles Club, led by their President and Palawan Region 1 Vice Governor Garry Gavino, was chartered on December 15, 2020, in Palawan with no less than 45 members. They are part of the nationwide organization, The Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles, Inc., a socio-civic organization established in 1979 in Quezon City.
