Ronald McDonald joins Emanette C. Ong, VP and Head of Business Group of McDonald’s Philippines, Margot B. Torres, Managing Director of McDonald’s Philippines, Francis S. del Val, President of COREnergy, and Marko G. Sarmiento, Vice President and Head of Operations of COREnergy, for a photo following the ceremonial partnership between COREnergy, the Retail Electricity Supplier (RES) of Vivant Energy, and McDonald’s Philippines.

The collaboration will support the quick-service restaurant’s transition to the Retail Aggregation Program (RAP) and Retail Competition and Open Access (RCOA) across 36 restaurants in Cebu and Negros Island, with 32 stores participating under RAP and the remaining transitioning individually through RCOA. Through COREnergy’s retail electricity solutions, participating restaurants are expected to reduce electricity costs by an average of 10 percent, secure fixed electricity rates for two years, and source 10–15 percent of their electricity from solar energy, supporting more efficient operations and McDonald’s Philippines’ goal of transitioning 64 percent of its restaurant portfolio under RAP by the end of 2026.
