Inspired from Kawa bath activity in Tibiao, Antique, the home town of Ms. Joan, owner of Happy Husky Café along with her hubby Boris, they set up the same thing here in Puerto Princesa City, its now three years old since they open in Brgy. Sicsican, at the southern portion of the city.

Happy Husky Café is the first to introduce pet friendly service in Palawan, wherein you can dine in with your dogs, plus you can see and play with their fur babies too, its part of the visit and its free. The place not only offer good and sumptuous foods, it is also a place for different activities such as Taekwondo classes, yoga sessions, boxing training, fish spa and a lot more.

But one thing that set them apart is the Kawa bathing experience, they have two kawa available for rent, one is small or good for 2 person, while the bigger one can fit in 5 people. They usually prepare in advance the Kawa that is made of iron in advance, at least 2 hours’ notice, unlike in Antique there are no drama of adding some milk or some beverages in the Kawa, just a plain warm water with some flowers and grass to add to the therapeutic effect of soaking.

The rate per hour is P200 per person, Boris told us that they are not strict on the time limit as long as there are no waiting customers in the line, but if there is they will enforce the 1hour limit. They provide towels too, and the shower area is prepared with soap and shampoo as well.

Best time to enjoy the bath is around 4PM till 10 in the evening, the area where the kawa is located is also a perfect spot for star gazing and moonlighting, while enjoying a hot or cold drinks or cocktails that the café offers, they have a lot of in their menu including milk tea.
