Southern Palawan has a new gem in terms of tourism, we are talking about the recently open Hayahay Farm Resort located in Brgy. Tigman in the municipality of Aborlan, the closest town to Puerto Princesa in the south.

The 2 hectares farm resort is the first kind of resort in Aborlan that is not related to the sea, because all the existing resort in the said town are al located near to the seashore, but not Hayahay who brave to operate in the middle of rice fields.

According to the brother of the owner, Jhed Ybanez, the said resort is not properly plan at first, the idea was to make it a vacation house of its owner Roselda “Dhang” Ybanez at first, but after realizing its value they decided to make it a full resort for tourists and guest who wish to experience a “bukid” life ambiance with many amenities to enjoy for a day or for long week of vacations.

Hayahay is a visayan term for relax or relaxed and nothing to worry about, among the activities they offer is fish catching of Tilapia, and Koi Fish feeding, their swimming pool have kids and adults sizes, plus the vibes that you are in surrounded by rice plants everywhere you look.

The opening rates are as follows, entrance fee is P100 for adults and P50 for kids, yes you can bring your own food and cook it there, no corkage for now since they don’t offer food options at present.

Cottage rental is P500 that can accommodate 10 persons.They also offer overnight stay but it comes with opening package rate, its P15.000 for 20 pax and you can have the whole place exclusive, including the house with 3 rooms that can accommodate two persons each. The said package has a check in time of 2PM daily with 12 noon the next day of check out. Additional persons is rate P200 per head.

Catching Tilapia is free, but the management is implementing no waste policy, meaning you need to cook and eat that after.

Future plans for Hayahay

According to Ybanez, they are still polishing the whole resort before its grand opening this coming August 30, among the plans they are working on is putting up some crystal clear kayak that guest can use in their buil in ponds, a big duyan that reflects Hayahay vibes is also in the pipeline to do, plus putting up function hall, mini bar and a café is also in their blueprint in the coming months.
