Aside from Cashew nuts and its fruits, another famous delicacy as pasalubong from Palawan is the Boti-Boti from Cuyo island, it is popular to locals and the most requested whenever you visit Cuyo, an island Municipality in the province of Palawan.

Boti-Boti or Pop rice in English, is a crispy rice snack usually white to dark brown color due to its sugar coating.

Last May 7 to 11, the Barangay of Emilod in the Municipality of Magsaysay, also found in Cuyo island held and celebrate the first ever “Boti-Boti Festival”, this is because of the fact that majority of this snack maker comes  from the said place, and as they further their research they are trying to prove, that Boti-Boti originates from Emilod.

At present, there are about 11 families engaged in making Boti-Boti, the local barangay and its SK are now improving its production, the latest is they now offer a Strawberry and Chocolate flavor.

In line with the celebration, a pasalubong center was open where in everyone can buy their best selling Boti-Boti.

Other events during the festival are the basketball for mothers and fathers, Festival Queen pageant, and the float competition.
