In a breathtaking spectacle of color, unity, and community spirit, the “Amos Ta’ Run: SUBARUN Color Run 2023” transformed the streets of Puerto Princesa City into a vivid tapestry of joy and inclusivity. This Subaraw Festival event, held on November 5, was an unmitigated triumph.

The early morning hours saw hundreds of participants dressed in their white run shirts congregating at the starting line at SM City Puerto Princesa. As they set off, every kilometer brought a different explosion of color, courtesy of the event’s color stations. Runners embraced the colorful pandemonium, culminating in a breathtaking rainbow celebration at the Puerto Princesa City Baywalk.

Fun Run for a Cause
The event’s mission is to celebrate Puerto Princesa’s rich biodiversity, promote wellness, and advocate the spirit of inclusivity attracting runners of all ages, genders, and abilities.
Proceeds from this event shall support the adopted communities of JCI Puerto Princesa Oil as this youth-led local organization believes that it is through reaching out to others that you learn more about yourself.

JCI Puerto Princesa Oil delves into an array of projects such as:
- community development (e.g., HarBEST Sustainable Livelihood Program)
- business (e.g., SimpLEARN: Skills Development for MSMEs)
- leadership (e.g., Project LIFE: Leadership Initiatives for Empowerment)
- gender equality (e.g., Like A Girl)
- inclusivity (e.g., Sama All: PWD Sensitivity for Frontline Workers)
- environment (e.g., SustainabiliTIPS, 4Rs Community Market)
- public health (e.g., Save SEXY and Health Expo), and more.

The unifying force behind these seemingly diverse projects is a group of volunteers, young individuals who want to become better leaders.
Fellow JCI member, local president of JCI Chocolate Hills, and Miss Supranational 2023 1st Runner-Up Pauline Amelinckx supported the event and took the challenge of completing the 10K run.

“It’s such an honor to be here and join you in SUBARUN Color Run 2023. I also share the same causes of this fun run promoting wellness, inclusivity, and biodiversity as part of the Subaraw Festival,” said Amelinckx.
Other JCI members from JCI Manila, JCI Puerto Princesa Peacock, JCI Puerto Princesa Balayong, JCI Puerto Princesa Kiao, and JCI Narra Grains also joined the color run in support of its cause.
